AD | Driving Innovation in Pantograph Testing with CETEST We’re proud to highlight our collaboration with CETEST, a leading test and analysis center based in northern Spain. Together, we’re raising the bar in railway testing, focusing on the critical interaction between pantographs and overhead contact lines (OHL) – a key factor for validating new vehicles, approving infrastructure designs, and optimizing maintenance costs. At the heart of this effort is Carlos Carmuega Tena, CETEST's Test & Measurement Area Manager, whose team has developed a high-precision instrumentation system for contact force measurements tested at speeds exceeding 350 km/h. Our ASC 4421MF uniaxial accelerometers play a pivotal role in these tests. Thanks to their flat design and low mass, they are ideally suited for capturing dynamic responses under challenging conditions, including electromagnetic interference. These sensors ensure accurate results without aerodynamic disruption, supporting precise evaluations of pantograph performance, comfort, and dynamics. This partnership showcases how cutting-edge instrumentation and expertise drive innovation in the transportation sector. Together with CETEST, we’re shaping the future of railway testing.
