Solve your CRM challenges with the most trusted Salesforce DevOps platform.

About us

Gearset launched in 2015 with the belief that Salesforce DevOps should be accessible to every team. As developers and DevOps experts ourselves, we’d experienced first-hand how tricky Salesforce deployments can be and wanted to build a platform that would make our customers as successful as possible. In that time we’ve created a powerful product suite that’s trusted by more than 2,500 companies. We work tirelessly to help them deploy metadata, set up CI/CD pipelines, seed sandboxes, automate testing, archive data and secure their orgs with backup. Our 300-strong team is dedicated to putting our customers first, forming strong partnerships that help them scale and find success through DevOps. And we’re only getting started. • Implementing Git branch protection is essential for maintaining the integrity of your Salesforce deployments. Samuel Crossland, one of Gearset's DevOps Architects, shares key practices to consider 👇 🔒 Establish branch protection rules: Set conditions such as requiring pull requests, mandating code reviews, and enforcing status checks before merging changes. ✅ Define approval requirements: Specify the minimum number of reviewers and designate code owners for specific areas to ensure thorough evaluations. 🧪 Enforce status checks: Implement automated tests that must pass before code can be merged, ensuring quality and preventing errors. 🚫 Restrict force pushes and deletions: Disable force pushes and protectbranches to safeguard against accidental or unauthorized changes. ✍️ Implement signed commits: Require signed commits to verify the authenticity of code contributions and enhance security. By adopting these branch protection strategies, you can enhance code quality, streamline collaboration, and ensure secure deployments in your Salesforce environment. 🙌 Read the full blog post here: https://grst.co/41AYue0
