💡 Reflecting on a rewarding Commercial Challenge Day with G&E Partners! This week, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the “Commercial Challenge Day” organised by Leeds Beckett University and G&E Partners. My team and I were tasked with using the Insights "Discovery" personality profiling model to analyse employee performance data and provide recommendations to enhance employee performance management and motivation strategies. 🎯 In a team, we collaborated aiming to uncover patterns between personality profiles and performance, focusing on strategies to boost high performers and support underperformers. As the lead for data analysis and interpretation, my role was to examine the dataset, interpret patterns, and co-present our findings with practical recommendations. 📈 I guided our data analysis efforts, aligning our insights with the challenge's objectives, and structured our findings into a concise presentation. I also coordinated our team’s activities to ensure a smooth workflow and a cohesive final solution. 🎉 Our team delivered a well-received presentation offering actionable insights, earning positive feedback from G&E Partners for both our analytical approach and practical recommendations. Thank you to my teammates, Ian, Sannie, Isaac, and Krittika, for an enjoyable day while cracking this case. 🚀This experience enhanced my skills in #data analysis and #presentation. I learned how vital it is to tailor strategies to different personality types, which can make a significant difference in managing performance and team dynamics. This challenge deepened my understanding of how data-driven insights can impact recruitment and management decisions in a practical setting. I also identified that my own personality profile aligns with the "Fiery Red" and "Cool Blue" 🔴🔵 quadrants of the model. 🙏 A big thank you to Christine Robinson and Helen Whale of Beckett Careers for arranging this insightful event and for their support throughout. CMA CGM to add Transpacific air cargo service: CMA CGM Air Cargo will begin Transpacific air cargo services for summer, in the anticipation of peak season. The carrier is set to deploy two Boeing 777-200F aircraft, that will operate by Atlas Air. The first is scheduled be in June, connecting airports in Hong Kong, Chicago and Seoul. Seattle area investing $10B in wastewater infrastructure: Washington’s King Country plans to invest $10 billion in wastewater treatment and other measures in coming decade to reduce pollution in waterways and prepare for storms, which are likely to become more frequent and intense due to climate change. The Wastewater Treatment Division’s plans boosted in late March when EPA announced $194 million loan to support critical wastewater infrastructure updates. The first instalment is nearly $500 million low-interest loan package which aims to make the system more reliable and protect Puget Sound. New funding will help to reduce raw sewage pumps and provide seismic upgrades for Seattle’s West Point Treatment Plant. The facility treats millions of gallons of wastewater each day and receives stormwater and sewage from Seattle, Shoreline, North Lake Washington, northern areas of King County and southern parts of Snohomish County. Takeda inks sweet $1.2B+ deal with Kumquat for immuno-oncology program: Takeda has offered Kumquat Biosciences the chance to make more than $1.2 billion in a new exclusive pact that centres around an immune-oncology small molecule inhibitor. After running phase 1 trial activities Kumquat can grant Takeda global licensing rights to develop and commercialise the asset. Big Pharma Takeda will then take responsibility for all development and commercialisation activities following phase 1. Subsequently a selected program can be developed as a monotherapy, combo therapy or both. Kumquat is set to make up to $130 million in near-term payments, with additional chance to grab $1.2 billion in future clinical, regulatory and commercial milestones.
