  • In the spirit of Christmas, Imperium Global & CMC Partners are forgoing our traditional Christmas lunch in order to raise money for those most in need this Christmas. We are donating £2500 to Hackney Foodbank and are hoping to raise an additional £1500 to feed hungry children and their families this Christmas. By the end of 2024 Hackney Foodbank will have distributed the equivalent to more than 250,000 meals for people experiencing hardship. The charity supports an average of 670 people per week and need is rising steadily. As well as providing visitors with a three-day emergency food parcel, the food bank has a caseworker on the team who helps address the root causes of poverty; supporting visitors with benefits applications, helping them access grants for fuel, furniture and clothing and signposting to other local organisations who can help. This winter demand is 70% higher than it was last winter – please give what you can to help ensure no-one in our community goes hungry. #christmas #charity #giving

    Supporting Product and Tech Companies

    During a resignation, an employer will likely ask what company, position, and comp package you are leaving for. They may push hard. Divulging this info can be leveraged against you to create fear, uncertainty, or doubt in your decision. The only benefit if you're in it for a counter offer. Different topic, but TDLR is it's a bad move. There is no ethical, legal, or practical obligation to disclose any details. And don't be fooled into thinking they want to know because they care or are looking out for you. If that was the case they would support your decision and you probably wouldn't be leaving in the first place. Your mantra: "Respectfully, that is confidential and personal. Let's finish strong over the next two weeks. You may follow up with me during first week at the new job and I'll share where I am". Chant it over, and over, and over again. When you start the new gig, management from your previous employer won't be calling to see where you are. The info is worthless to them once you are gone.
