🌍 EnviroBuild's 2023 Impact Report is Here! 🌿 In 2023, EnviroBuild reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability by enhancing product quality while reducing environmental impact—proving that green choices don't mean compromises. Our latest Impact Report showcases the achievements made possible through collaboration with our customers, partners, and organisations like the Rainforest Trust UK. 🚀 Key Highlights from 2023: 🌳 Partnership with Rainforest Trust UK: In 2023, through our collaboration, we helped protect 26,863 acres of rainforest across 8 projects in 7 countries, contributing to vital conservation efforts and safeguarding biodiversity. ⚡ Renewable Energy: Powered all composite products, Manticore substructure, and LVT flooring with 100% wind energy, utilizing 1,211,418 kWh. ♻️ Recycled Materials: Diverted 903,691 kg of plastic from landfills by using recycled materials in composite products and Manticore plastic lumber. 🌱 GHG Offset: Offset 93,061,000 kg CO2e from our operations, including employee commutes, business travel, and energy usage. 📈 Product GHG Emissions: While overall emissions rose to 10,336,937 kg CO2e due to increased aluminium sales, we remain 12.3% better than in 2020. 🌍 New Initiatives: In 2024, we're introducing fibre cement—a sustainable, durable alternative to aluminium—aimed at further reducing our carbon footprint. As our founders shared, while challenges remain, we’re taking active steps to improve. From offering 'Green Aluminium' at no extra cost to expanding our product range with fibre cement, we remain dedicated to innovation that drives a positive environmental impact. 🏆 We are thrilled to spotlight Holly Clarke winner of our London Design Festival"Reimagining London's High-Rise Green Spaces" Design Contest! 🏆 Holly's innovative project, Aylesbury Estate Regrowth, presents a fresh approach to urban regeneration in Southwark, where plans for demolition have displaced over 7,500 residents since 2005. The design challenges the conventional strategy of total demolition, advocating for retrofitting existing buildings to better serve the community. Key highlights include: -Reducing food poverty by creating opportunities for food growing and preparation. -Fostering community with accessible private outdoor spaces, large balconies, and terraces. -Activating ground-level spaces with restaurants, a cooking school, and community shops A standout feature of Holly's design is the integration of large balconies and terraces, providing each resident with their own private outdoor space, ideal for food cultivation. Additionally, the ground level will be transformed from underutilized garages into vibrant spaces, including restaurants, a cooking school, community shops, and food markets, allowing residents to sell their produce.
