Have you ever dreamt of a better version of yourself? This question that forms the premise of THE SUBSTANCE, the new body horror from visionary director Coralie Fargeat, starring Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley. After splitting audiences (see what we did there) at Cannes earlier this year, THE SUBSTANCE is bound to be one of this year’s biggest (and likely most divisive) releases. But after Variety described the film as a ‘cathartically grotesque fusion of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Showgirls’ we knew THE SUBSTANCE was at the top of our list. In cinemas 20th September - read our full Don't Miss article here: https://lnkd.in/eWyy5HXS

At elevenfiftyfive, we're passionate about supporting cinema in all its forms, and love working on screenings of all shapes and sizes. We've been working with community project Tree Circle Cinema on their next event, taking place this Saturday! The Tree Circle Cinema is a beloved (and free) outdoor event that takes place annually in the tree circle in London’s Millfields Park, Clapton E5. A chance for the local community to get together for an evening of film, music and food, The Tree Circle cinema is currently raising money for their next event, where they'll be showing Pablo Berger's heartwarming animated tale of friendship ROBOT DREAMS, as well as powerful documentary SEED: THE UNTOLD STORY. Last night marked the final three screenings in our sold out MASSIVE preview and Q&A tour of Rich Peppiatt’s debut feature KNEECAP, a music biopic like no-other that charts the rise of ground-breaking Irish language rap trio Kneecap. We organised previews in Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow, Cardiff and Bristol with a Q&A panel with the band and Rich following each screening. Last night, we previewed the film to sold out audiences at Curzon Soho and BFI Southbank, complete with a specially curated preshow and zines detailing the history and resurgence of the Irish language. Previews hosted in collaboration with Curzon, thanks to British Film Institute (BFI). Kneecap is in cinemas now, and we couldn't recommend it enough!
