Appreciation Post Alert!! You probably have heard of DJ Alexander as the largest letting agency in Edinburgh and Scotland. But this post isn’t about them. It’s about DJ Alexander’s Sales department, which a few years ago most people didn’t even realise existed. We are not in the ESPC, we haven’t attended industry events, neither hosted networking events, or drive posh cars. But despite the odds we managed to grow our market share significantly in the last couple of years. YTD we are 6th in Edinburgh for highest number of instructions, 7th for Sale Agreed and 1st for Average Days on Market as per this morning’s Rightmove stats. We are a small team. Only 11 of us including valuers, sales support, admin, photographer and front of house. But we simply love what we do and share the passion for customer satisfaction and winning. We never stop learning and constantly trying to improve every aspect of our job to ensure we do the best by our clients. Have we had challenging situations? Dare I say even some difficult customers, yes of course we did. But that’s the beauty of the job, and we rise to it every single day and keep pushing forward. And the difference we bring to our clients lives, makes it all worth it. The fact that we reached our already ambitious budget set by mid October and instead of slowing down, we set ourselves a new target to reach which we also managed to smash before the year closes, speaks volume. I’m not just immensely proud, but feel privileged to have the opportunity to work with this great bunch of human beings, and I will continue trying my upmost to support, inspire and lead them to the next level.
