Thanks so much for coming! It’s great to be able to build on these connections between the 4 GTE hubs, and look forward to further work in the new year. 🤝 ✨🌿
We're delighted to have attended Design HOPES work-in-progress display opening and discussion events at V&A Dundee, celebrating their one-year milestone! It was fantastic to connect with researchers and representatives from the Design HOPES team to examine key questions at the heart of the Green Transition in health and care. The day offered an opportunity to explore objects and artefacts that highlight how design-led research propels sustainable innovation in this space. These sparked meaningful conversations about the challenges and solutions shaping the sustainable transition for NHS Scotland and emphasised the vital connection between healthy people and a healthy planet. On the 5th of December, Design HOPES launched its interim exhibition at the V&A Dundee—a truly momentous occasion. This event marked a significant milestone, not only in raising the profile of the project but also in showcasing the work my theme is contributing to the Green Ward Toolkit. It was inspiring to see the progress of the other six themes and the innovative projects being developed across the Scottish universities. Having the opportunity to showcase our work in Dundee’s iconic design museum is an honour and a privilege. The evening was truly special, and none of this would have been possible without the continuous support of the NHS leads, Dundee team and the dedicated designers curating the space. I’m immensely proud to be part of this journey, contributing to meaningful and sustainable changes within NHS Scotland. This exhibit is on show from now until mid February 2025 free of charge. I would encourage anyone who is interested in design for healthcare to pop-along. #designhopes #exhibit #showcase #greenwardtoolkit #vandadundee

Very proud to be exhibiting our work at the V&A Dundee as part of the Design HOPES 'Work In Progress' exhibit. The 'Anatomy of a Scrub' explores the design problems with hospital scrubs with insights, facts and observations physically embroidered on to a scrub top. Many thanks to my research collaborator and fashionista-extraordinaire Niki Taylor without whom this would not have been possible! The exhibit is open until February so get yourself along and see some amazing design research in action!
