### Reflections on a Year of Hyperscaler Collaboration As we wrap up the year, I find myself looking back on the journey we've had at NOUMENA DIGITAL AG with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. Working with these hyperscalers has pushed us to explore new tech, refine our processes, and roll out some pretty exciting advancements, including NoumenaGPT and making our platform more accessible through our SaaS offering. After plenty of brainstorming and long nights (and maybe too much coffee), we've picked up some insights on how to really make the most of these partnerships, especially when it comes to generative AI. ### Digging into Azure: Building a Market-Ready AI Product At the beginning of the year, we dove headfirst into Azure's generative AI offerings, working closely with Microsoft's small business team. We had an awesome team lineup—Damian Márquez, Manuel Beck from Microsoft, and Victor Nitu and myself from Noumena — ready to see how AI could elevate our tech while keeping our IP intact. Things picked up quickly. We found our stride early on, especially during the Azure Trust Day event at the Microsoft offices. Collaboration was buzzing. Shoutout to Juerg Kaeppeli, Kiara K. for supporting us. When we got feedback from Ronnie Kane, head of Microsoft's EU small business unit, saying our project was one of the most “market-ready AI” initiatives he’d seen, it felt like we were really onto something. ### Diving into AWS: Fresh Perspectives and Unique Challenges Expanding to AWS brought a whole new set of possibilities, along with its fair share of learning curves. This time, we were guided by Tarek Muqbel and Alena Schmickl from AWS's startup team, who jumped in with enthusiasm and deep knowledge. AWS’s team was all about experimentation and helping us explore the platform’s unique strengths, and the support made a difference.Through implementation, training, and model evaluations, we started noticing some interesting contrasts between AWS and Azure. Lest we forget. 104 years after its unveiling, the Cenotaph stands tall as the centrepiece of national remembrance in the UK, a monument to the ultimate sacrifice made by its soldiers during the First World War and every conflict since. Each year, thousands gather to pay their respects and lay wreaths, to reflect and remember, and to honour the fallen. Originally a temporary memorial made of wood, its 1919 unveiling attracted a procession of over 15,000 people. A permanent replacement was commissioned the following year, built from Portland stone. English Heritage writes: ‘Standing serenely amid the bustling traffic on Whitehall in Westminster, London, the Cenotaph – or ‘empty tomb’ in Greek – has served as a symbol of remembrance, commemorating those who served or lost their lives in times of conflict, for a century.
