November, you have been a blast! 30 whole days and what a packed 30 days it’s been! So what have I been up to? Here’s some of the highlights from my HR world: 🌟Working with an amazing engineering business supporting their HR team in managing their rapid expansion and continued success 📚Line Manager training for 3 forward thinking businesses who took their whole management team out of the business for 2 days to brush up their skills in people management 🙂Supporting business owners with their day to day HR needs and through the highs and lows of employing people. 👍Celebrating International Men’s Day with the Cumbria Chamber of Commerce and my CIPD committee colleague’s hearing real life inspiring in stories and about the amazing work that Andy’s Man Club does. 😇Supporting local business and giving back including a super relaxing reflexology treat to support my personal wellbeing. 🤝Looking ahead to 2025 while making new connections and meeting likeminded business owners through a new networking opportunity 🎁All topped off with some thoughtful gifts including a tasty hamper from a valued supplier to congratulate me on success and a thoughtful branded Christmas plant gift from a valued colleague. 🎄December, you have got a lot to live up to! Let’s do this! 💪

I recently added a new product to my portfolio and working with Breathe has been a breeze! It’s given my clients access to a cost effective & valuable tool to manage their employee data and streamline HR admin, saving time and money in the process! I’m a fan of an Excel spreadsheet as much as anyone, but in HR there’s a point when they become more of a headache than a help ✅ Thanks Faye Veal 💫 for supporting my journey so far 😁. Well, this is a bit exciting (for an HR person). 😁 Today I’m operating in my role as Vice Chair and Policy Lead for the Cumbria CIPD branch and am joining a team from the North along with our national CIPD colleagues to pull together recommendations to the Labour government on their proposed changes to employment law. ⚖️ My role as an HR Consultant along with my CIPD roles provide me with a unique insight into the views of many employers and HR professionals and having an opportunity to feed that in and potentially influence the details of the laws proposed is a pretty rare opportunity. Super proud to be championing the voice from Cumbria today and representing the Northern people professionals! 💪

⭐️Business Development Friday ⭐️ Out and about in a rather blustery and cloudy Westmorland, talking to some amazing businesses. I’m constantly in awe of businesses that we have right here on the doorstep, and amazed by the talent that Cumbria is able to showcase 👏
