  • It was a whirlwind week for the Cutover team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) #reinvent. While it’s hard to condense it to just a few, here are the highlights: 🔨 An immersive workshop on large-scale migration and modernization #AWS customers learned how to build Cutover runbooks to hyperautomate processes and integrate multiple migration tools to improve performance and prevent longer cutover windows throughout the migration. 💻 Technical sessions on migration and modernization Ashish Shekhar of Danske Bank and AWS’ Oscar Rodriguez showcased the collaboration between Danske Bank and Cutover on stage to hundreds of attendees. They shared the journey to achieving hyperautomation and top learnings. 💬 Insightful discussions on major incident management We heard from both AWS and enterprises about the need to resolve major incidents more seamlessly. Cutover shared their newest offering, Cutover Respond, and how it helps enterprise teams resolve major incidents faster. With a shared incident workspace and integrations to tools like Zoom, MS Teams, Slack, and ServiceNow, Cutover Respond brings a streamlined approach to major incident management and reduces mean time to resolution (MTTR). 🧑💼 Executive roundtable events on resilience Application resilience was also a major topic of conversation. Customers and AWS technical experts shared that they need accurate runbooks to execute cloud disaster recovery. Cutover and AWS collaborated to create Cutover Recover runbooks with AWS integrations like AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery (DRS) and Fault Injection Service (FIS). 🤝 Networking opportunities with customers and partners No technology conference is complete without networking opportunities, and this year’s agenda packed a punch. Sessions, individual meetings, strategic conversations, social events, and happy hours with customers and partners brought great energy throughout the week. What were your AWS #reinvent2024 highlights? Let us know in the comments!

In case you missed it at Amazon Web Services (AWS) #reinvent: This session focuses on valuable lessons from the thousands of enterprises who have migrated and modernized their on-premises workloads with #AWS. Oscar Rodriguez gives a fantastic overview of how Cutover partnered with AWS to deliver benefits to Danske Bank by creating a data-driven approach to #migration. This included using Cutover to remove manual steps by connecting to metadata stores (e.g. the CMDB) and using templates in Cutover to automatically create accurate migration runbooks. He also talks about the benefits of using Cutover #AI to create, summarize, and improve migration runbooks.

It’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) #reinvent week! Yesterday, Danske Bank and AWS showcased the lessons learned from migrating and modernizing their on-premises workloads. The session - Completing a large-scale migration and modernization (MAM205) - overviewed how Danske Bank and AWS used Cutover’s SaaS platform and automated runbooks to orchestrate the end-to-end tasks during the large-scale migration. Danske Bank faced the challenge of migrating 16,600 servers, 60,000 containers, and 20 petabytes of data to AWS while reducing risks and hitting the ambitious target of rehosting 15 workloads and 200 servers per week. Danske wanted to take an innovative approach as part of their Forward ‘28 strategy, to maximize scale with minimal human intervention. Find out how they used AWS and Cutover Migrate to achieve their goals:
