Our second employee spotlight - meet Wenqi Wu! 🎉 What’s your current role at Convergence? 🤖 Member of Technical Staff (Research Team) Tell us a little about your background. 👀 You could say I’m a King’s Cross local through and through. I spent my university days at UCL, studying math and machine learning just down the road, and then started my career at Huawei—literally in this very building. Over the years, I got to explore the world of NLP, building machine learning pipelines from 0 to 1 and tweaking language models along the way. It’s been an exciting journey, and I’m thrilled to embark on this next chapter. What inspired you to join Convergence, and what excites you most? ✨ The vision of building AI with memory that adapts and evolves through every interaction is what drew me to Convergence. Developing general agents that learn, evolve, and collaborate with humans feels like a significant leap toward truly intelligent systems, and I’m excited to be part of that journey. What’s your favourite thing about working with your team? 💼 There’s never a shortage of ideas, and even better, we make them happen in no time. What motivates you about the work Convergence is doing? 🏃♂️ Our mission—to build a future of abundance for all of humanity. I truly believe that what we are building today is shaping a new era of human-AI collaboration that benefits everyone. Outside of work, what are your hobbies or interests? 😁 Playing guitar, and to figure out tabs for songs I love—especially those hidden gems you can’t find online. There’s something so satisfying about nailing it when everything comes together. What’s something that might surprise your colleagues? 😲 I've got over 100 stitches on my head from childhood—who knew I'd grow into a somewhat steady adult after all that chaos? Welcome to the team Wenqi Wu, we are lucky to have you. #AI #MachineLearning #NLP #TechTalent #ArtificialIntelligence #Innovation #ResearchAndDevelopment #AIResearch #TechCareers #ConvergenceAI #FutureOfTech #AIEngineering #DeepLearning #TechInnovation #London #TechTalent

Convergence is nearly 6 months old, and we’re getting ready to let the world experience Proxy - so, it's time to meet the team! Meet Ronan Chambers.... What’s your current role at Convergence? 🤖 GTM Lead (with a bit of product, support, PR, and marketing mixed in too!) Tell us a little about your background. 👀 Part of the GTM and Partnerships team at Pigment, where I joined during their Series-B and stayed through their B+, C, and D rounds until they hit Unicorn status- such an incredible journey. At the same time acted as Head of Growth and helped run day-to-day Ops at Embarc, the top community for future founders in London. That meant mornings before my main job, lunchtimes during, and evenings after—plus Saturday mornings. Busy but worth it! What inspired you to join Convergence, and what excites you most? ✨ It was scrappy, a little risky—and I loved it. When I first connected with the team, it was three people in stealth mode—no office, no LinkedIn page, nothing. I felt like if I didn’t join, I’d regret it forever. The ambition was infectious. What’s your favourite thing about working with your team? 💼 It’s “Best Idea Wins”—every single time. There’s no hierarchy, just total freedom to think creatively and push boundaries. Everyone is the CEO of their own responsibilities, which makes for an incredible environment. What motivates you about the work Convergence is doing? 🏃♂️ The traction is insane—it validates all the hard work we’ve put in. When we were in stealth, it felt like, “Okay, we think what we’re doing is great, but we’re biased.” Coming out of stealth and seeing the market’s response was my aha moment. For example, my post announcing what we’re building got 35,000 views—completely organic. That was wild. Outside of work, what are your hobbies or interests? 😁 I’m big into online poker—both cash games and tournaments (NLHE only). What’s something that might surprise your colleagues? 😲 I’m in the top 2% of global Clash Royale players. It took me 8 years to get there. Kinda cool, kinda embarrassing. 😅 What a journey, Ronan Chambers! Stay tuned for more stories from the amazing team at Convergence as we get closer to introducing Proxy to the world. 🚀 #MeetTheTeam #StartupLife #Convergence #GTM

Over the past five days, we’ve welcomed the first 500 individuals to explore Proxy in its Alpha stage. After months of building, refining, and testing, we’re thrilled to see power users already emerging. This milestone is just the beginning, and we’re incredibly grateful for the trust and invaluable feedback from our early adopters who are pushing the boundaries of what our browser-based agents can achieve. A special thank you to Balderton Capital, Salesforce Ventures, and Shopify Ventures for your ongoing support as we pursue this critical mission to redefine what’s possible with autonomous agents. Here’s to the next 500 (coming very soon!)—and beyond. 🛠️✨ It’s time to Meet Proxy. Want to join in on the fun? Check the comments! 😁

  • We are pleased to announce that Proxy has achieved state-of-the-art results on the Web Voyager benchmark, outperforming Agent E (Emergence AI) Runner H (H Company) and Claude Computer Use (Anthropic). This validates the practical capabilities of Proxy on a popular benchmark in a realistic setting. Training our models using Web-World Models, we're setting new standards in autonomous web browsing and how to make agents act. The Web Voyager benchmark consists of 640 tasks ranging from shopping, news crawling, and hotel booking, as well as using tools like maps and GitHub. This benchmark is run on real websites rather than simulated scenarios. Open source release coming in the new year. https://lnkd.in/edtysSTN

The interest in Proxy from Convergence which launched yesterday was overwhelming. It quite literally overwhelmed the system. As we spin up a bigger cluster, you can see what Proxy can do even in the hands of a novice like me in the video below. With apologies to Rob Moffat and Sivesh Sukumar, although perhaps they preferred working with my Proxy. You can still sign up or enquire about an enterprise account on the website, they will let more people in every day. Generalisable agents are incredible.
