As we approach the end of 2024, and the start of the festivities, I wanted to share with you how proud I am to work with so many talented and dedicated colleagues at the City of London Corporation. Thousands of people have worked diligently, and often in complex circumstances, to deliver so many important developments that are steering us towards the goals we have set out in our new Corporate Plan. It’s a privilege to lead this multi-faceted and wide-ranging organisation – and I’m acutely aware of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes that keeps our services running day in, day out for residents, learners, workers and visitors. Over the next few weeks as many of us take a break there will be a huge number of colleagues helping those in need, getting up at the crack of dawn, and indeed working through the night. It’s to these people I am truly grateful, on both a personal and professional level, at this time of year.
