Remember when developers were desperately trying to build food stores, shopping centres and multi story car parks “cos there was loads of money in it” ? Everything is a cycle, in Newcastle under Lyme Capital&Centric are converting an old multi storey car park into 100 apartments (a uk first!), replacing a food store with a public park and 170 apartments with family housing too, plus repurposing a former shopping centre into 50 apartments Lots of embodied carbon saved and a thrifty way to make the numbers work :) props to Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council for believing in us!
