Shout out for Callidus Wholesale Ltd supported charity The BroProject CIC They completed a walk from Torquay to Haytor Rock (Dartmoor) on the shortest day to raise funds for Men’s Mental Health. It’s a challenging 25K hike starting at 5PM and finishing at circa 12AM practically all uphill from the coast, to the top of the moors. This weeks #davesdiary I am going to just reflect on the trials and tribulations of 2024. Friday Afternoon and Evening we held our year end team meeting and Christmas party 🥳 the theme being the Ghosts of Christmas past… 👻 🎅🏼 😉 The point being? A year is a long time especially on the Solarcoaster 🎢 so much has happened, been accomplished, and learned from. ⚡️We did 3 x Exhibitions (SSL LDN, Birmingham and Elex Exeter) ⚡️Travelled to Intersolar Germany and European Distributor meeting with Victron Energy ⚡️Launched a kit building tool for our Website (PV Planner) ⚡️Became direct distributors for Growatt New Energy and Anker SOLIX (as well as others whom we’ve departed from) ⚡️Held various Victron Energy training events and trained approx 100 installers ⚡️accionvegana from a self managed warehouse solution to a TPL with SW Group - Pallet Network | Warehousing ⚡️We’ve recruited a sales team and promoted Matthew Cox up to Sales Director ⚡️We offered contracts to a Operations Manager and a Marketing Assistant 🚚 dispatched 10MW of PV modules 🔋 dispatched 3.5MWH of batteries 🎯 sold over 200,000 products 🧾 sold approx 1500 sales orders 🤝 traded with 400 new customers We done all of this with an average headcount of 6 people in the business and no external investment. It’s been hard, sometimes harder than it ought to have been but it is all there to be learned from. There have been some stand-out partnerships and support throughout the year, they know who they are as I made sure to send them notes prior to the break. I’m loyal to a fault and those who have helped me will never be forgotten. Next year we have: ✅ 4 x new ranges landing ✅ Ops & Marketing start 6th Jan ✅ Formal integration of systems into TPL ✅ Both Solar and Storage shows And who knows what else!? Great to spend the afternoon with our partners at SW Group - Pallet Network | Warehousing 🚚🤝 We’ve shipped countless pallets from their Swindon hub which is home to almost all of the Callidus Wholesale Ltd stock 📦 We introduced them to our new Operations Manager, Mike Robinson , whom is already proving to be a strong acquisition. Part of today was to thank the team for their efforts and for taking us on in the first place - yes, we’re a customer but it’s a partnership and they saw real value in our business and offering. It was a pleasure to walk them through the investments we’ve made in people with Ops, Marketing, and Northern Sales Exec and discuss the plans for our continued integration 👨💻 which will lower our cost to distribute again, which we can pass onto installers 🤑 as we have done in countless ways this year. With their triple decker vans it is the most environmentally friendly way to distribute volume of product nationwide 🚚🇬🇧 and with our stock in their hubs we can execute this at scale quickly. Only thing not good about today was Bristol traffic 🛣️ that can do one!
