Cadventure Ltd

Thirty-five years ago… Cadventure Ltd started as an idea of Paul Lewis to use his experience and expertise to help Architects and Engineers to get the best from technology. When his car broke down one fateful day on 15th March 1989, whilst waiting for it to be fixed he took the opportunity to find our first office so that he could bring his idea to life. He chose the name Cadventure, as everything we do was centred on CAD, and starting his own company was an adventure. So, in the same week that Sir Tim Berners-Lee proposed the commercial idea of the internet, Cadventure was born. Foster + Partners were our first client who asked Paul to tune their DEC VAX machines and sort out their electro-static plotters. We have worked with them many times since. Significant milestones include becoming a Bentley Systems Partner in 1994; a Vectorworks Partner in 2003. We were invited to become resellers for Bluebeam, Inc. and Solibri, Inc. in 2018. The Building Centre has been our London home since 1997. We also have an office on Cotswold Airport.   We are not conventional in the way we do business. Being passionate about the technology, encourages us to think outside the box, to be flexible to help our clients and to value these relationships. Sometimes the clock is not always ticking and if necessary we break the rules to get the job done. Today we have expanded our footprint from the UK to Ireland and the Nordics. We have also recently picked up awards for our culture, team of the Year at the Construction Computing Awards, finalist for Employer of the Year for apprenticeships and Bentley Systems and Bluebeam, Inc. awards for our growth and commitment as partners. Cadventure truly is a family company. Whilst we have grown and adapted over the last thirty-five years, to include #informationmanagement consultancy services and #ProjectWise expertise on major infrastructure projects, we remain true to our vision to help architects, engineers and construction companies to understand their purpose, people and processes - to use technology to delivery projects more effectively. As we mark our 35th anniversary, we thank our clients for your sustained commitment to us; our suppliers for your support and encouragement. We work with extended network of Consultants - part of Cadventure's Collaboration Community - an enviable and growing international team of leading software and solutions experts. Together we harness our collective capabilities to deliver diverse and complementary skillsets to our clients across the broadest range of technologies. We are proud of our partnership with Alison Watson MBE Watson and #classofyourown as their global training provider. We also thank our friends and supporters in the industry as I mentor for Women in BIM, am a judge for the #WICEAwards and a non-Exec for #nima. Finally, thank you to our Cadventure team, both past and present for all that you do. Together, we look forward to the next stage of our journey.
