  • Better, as Siobhan explains in our film, is more than just a company name - it's an intention. It's how we show up, what we want from the world around us and it's what we want for the people we work with. Doing better is at the heart of both Claire and Siobhan's values-led approach to consultancy. If you're a charity or business with purpose looking for new ways to set strategies that succeed, unlock creative solutions and tackle challenge and change we're here for you. • And in what seems like a blink, it was time to call time for 2024 on Better's weekly worker appreciation. Employee of the Week, when there are two employees, might seem like a stretch to some. But Claire Irving and Siobhan Meaker work to their values - and bringing the joy is central to this. So what better way to recap your wins and show appreciation to the efforts of your co-founder than through the passing back and forth of a Moonpig printed mug? As we break for our festive refresh, Siobhan decided that the stakes should be raised and an Employee of the Year be announced. Would this be done on a count back system? No, don't be daft. And so with the measures all clearly explained, it is our great pleasure to announce the Better Strategic Consultancy Employee of the Year 2024 goes to the magnificent....Claire Irving. For an exceptional year of leadership, discovery, learning and trust. We hope you all get a chance to rest and recharge and find some time to do the things that bring you joy. #BringTheJoy #WorkerAppreciation #CharityConsultants #Mug

  • The Better team have been doing a little round up, thinking about the charities and organisations that have given good LinkedIn this year. Claire Irving's 2024 highlights include.... RSPB! They have delivered outstanding content this year (across all platforms actually - their tiktok is fabulous). It's funny, snappy, thoughtful and focuses on the positivity of nature for us all. Dementia UK are a bit of a personal pick, but their informative and moving content is fab. For Claire, it's pitched perfectly at carers and she learns something every time. Flare Audio Ltd are a local company here on the south coast, who really seem to be stepping up their game. Claire has tinnitus, loves music and going to gigs so she's really enjoyed watching their product developments and recent award wins. Siobhan Meaker would like to shine the light on the work of Lymphoma Action for their insightful signs and symptoms infographics and their very human recruitment videos and first person patient story films. The way stories and support is shared has moved on a lot since her own cancer journey and it's great to see it being done in a way that connects and resonates so powerfully.    She’s also been very impressed by the work of Hospice UK which, in an exceedingly challenging year for the sector, has provided a powerful communications voice, ensuring the goal of safe and dignified palliative care for all is high on the political and news agenda, in the face of continued financial challenge and the assisted dying debate. And bonus points for a rebrand.    And finally, she’d like to share some love for AFC Bournemouth – and no, not just because they’re her lifelong passion and are currently nose to nose with Man City for a European spot. But that they have used their powerful platform to challenge violence against women and girls. This video is brilliant - https://lnkd.in/e8uHdpdG What have been your top LinkedIn picks for 2024? Who should we be following? Yes, you can nominate Employee of the Week (announced this Thursday)...

Violence against women and girls is a topic that reaches every corner of society, and we felt it was imperative that we use our voice and platform to highlight something that will resonate with so many people. You may have seen our powerful video that has gained millions of views across social media last week, and the team that were involved in that process are proud of the awareness that it has brought to the issue. Some of the examples included within the video published last week may look insignificant to many, but these are just some of the endless thought processes that women go through with every journey they make, particularly during these dark winter months. We call on all of those who have watched it to stop and think about what they can do to become and continue to be an ally, every day, to stop violence against women and girls before it starts.

  • The battle for Christmas No.1 is on at Better Strategic Consultancy Ltd .... it's been a brilliant week, not least because we had our first Christmas do and celebrated with a day at the spa. This has been a year of learning, development, courage and joy. Our agency is delivering brilliant work that is making a positive difference, we're working with fantastic people who are driven by purpose and we've built on the spark of an idea to create something that we're really passionate about. We'd love to hear how you are celebrating the efforts and achievements of your year in the thread below 🧡

Like the thrill of finding out the Christmas No.1, this weeks chart-topping Employee of the Week is hotly anticipated... And, we're delighted to say that it's a non-mover! Holding her place at the top of the charts is our very own Siobhan Meaker who has really gone above and beyond in terms of effort, care, joy and creativity. Claire Irving is happy to be a No.2 in the face of this true excellence. To celebrate this win, here's a SFW outtake from our Christmas photo session. As we look ahead to next week, does she have the staying power to make it three in a row? 👀 👀 👀

  • Bright and early this week, we're delighted to reveal Employee of the Week at Better Strategic Consultancy Ltd. The past few weeks have seen stiff competition for the prize, but this week there is a clear winner... While Claire Irving has worked hard and produced an excellent lunch on Tuesday, Siobhan has kept us on track with values, sourced some excellent photo content and written a blog, at the same time as building her own shelves from scratch. This level of dedication and competence cannot go unrewarded... So, this week's Employee of the Week is... Siobhan Meaker. The mug will be handed over in a layby off the A259, near big Lidl, for a week in prime locale on her new shelves. Keep your eyes peeled for our Spotify Wrapped big reveal next week 👀 #Values #CharityConsultant #BusinessConsultant #Shelves

  • As they come to the end of another week, Claire Irving and Siobhan Meaker have been reflecting on the achievements and learnings of November. They've onboarded new clients and delivered the final parts of a piece of work that was brilliant to work on. They've trained, They've learnt accounting systems, They've made new contacts and They've wandered Wakehurst, lonely as a cloud. Now, it's not a competition but the weekly drive to secure the Better mug on your mantlepiece is very, very real. It's been a tight week with both team members giving it their all but. like Highlander, there can be only one... This week's #blessedmantlepiece is Claire Irving's for exceptional delivery during a week which has been full and, at times, a little bit challenging. Have a brilliant weekend
