Mission complete🛰️. PHASA-35, our high altitude pseudo satellite has taken to the stratosphere once again. Our Prismatic Ltd. team launched it, flew it to more than 66,000 feet, landed it and had it ready to fly again in just two days. This rapid turnaround is key to its future success as a cost effective alternative to other earth observation methods like traditional aircraft and satellites. We’ve been awarded a new contract by the four-nation Eurofighter Typhoon consortium to further develop our most advanced fighter pilot helmet, Striker II®. This latest investment will fund the next stage of development, ensuring the helmet achieves a production ready standard. Striker II's new capability combined with a game-changing new radar, future weapons and advanced displays will ensure Typhoon continues as the backbone of combat air defence for decades to come. We expect this investment to secure more than 200 highly skilled jobs at BAE Systems’ combat air facility in Warton, Lancashire and its Electronic Systems site in Rochester, Kent which specialises in developing helmet-mounted displays. BAE Systems Maritime recently demonstrated the awesome abilities of a new type of autonomous submarine in the UK for the first time. Chris started at BAE Systems in 1972 and designed head-up displays for pilots during his 33-year career at our site in Marconi Way, Rochester. He is now a curator at the on-site museum, where he preserves artefacts from more than a century of aviation history, which saw skilled engineers pave the way for those developing future technologies.
