✍️ Bid Writing to Win Tenders 🏆 Today, I attended a Practical Bid Writing workshop organised by Westminster City Council, represented by Antoinette Peters-Adenle and Ranti A. This workshop also reflected an aspect of Westminster City Council's Fairer Westminster Delivery Plan; a vision that considers the priorities of its residents, communities and businesses, encouraging a cohesive local ecosystem. The workshop was run by Jorge Analuisa (pronounced HOR-hay), founder of Bid Specialists, and focused on public sector contracts (councils, central government, NHS, etc.). Jorge presented the subject matter expertly and systematically, progressively introducing and building on themes; his experience and expertise were evident from the outset. Given the attendees' different levels of experience, he qualified the 'practical' aspect of the workshop title very well 🎯. In today's world, no topic area can be covered without the role of AI, which opened my mind to new possibilities in my professional services offering. There is also a natural intersection between bid writing and my practice of writing SEO-optimised content; instead of Google ranking you, it's your prospective customer using an algorithm called ‘requirements’. 🙂 I found the workshop an excellent investment of my time and attendance; I learned new ideas that I can put to use immediately. The workshop topic resonated with me because I have written many high-value business cases and tenders, all of which have resulted in successful outcomes for my customers. I've attached covers for some examples of my work with redactions to protect some commercial aspects and identities. These include: ✅ Winning a highly competitive contract (against large corporations) with British Airways ✅ Writing business cases to secure £150K HSBC startup funding for Creams Cafe (Adam Mani), initial UK franchisees. ✅ Writing a price increase proposal and negotiating with McLaren Racing's Finance Director to secure an equitable outcome for my customer. ✅ Writing a tender proposal for my customer to secure a slot on SAB Millers' coveted Preferred Supplier List. ✅ Writing a successful tender for my customer to provide premium services to Emirates Airline at Heathrow. I don't come from a background in bid writing, but at the heart of a successful outcome is understanding the customer's requirements and a realistic assessment of the chances of serving those needs to have a chance of winning. Of course, it's more complex than that, but that's where I offer support with my expert writing services. Combined with AI, the process of writing bids has become exponentially efficient. See this article I previously published about the origins of my writing experience: https://lnkd.in/e2xA-ENv 😄 Thanks to Antoinette Peters-Adenle, Ranti A. and Jorge Analuisa for a great day. 🤝 It was also great to connect with Dauda Barry and Danielle Cubitt-Brown. #winbids #howtotender #bidwriting #supplierreadiness
