Running a startup means you don't get much time to stop and reflect. But with everything that's happened the past twelve months - and given that it's December - I thought I should give it a go. My conclusion is that 2024 has been a pretty epic year! These photos take you on a whistlestop tour of Aquark's year. We started 2024 with a visit to Niels Bohr's office, who as a fellow Dane is a huge inspiration for me! From there, our drone trial with MBDA won an Innovation Award, we've announced our seed funding round led by NATO Innovation Fund (NIF), the successful trial of our technology at sea with Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) The Royal Navy, attended the Quantum Showcase and NATO HQ, and kicked off NATO DIANA Phase II and the Airbus Defence and Space Accelerator. Our collaboration with the University of Birmingham also lead us to understand way more on gravity and it was a huge deal for us when they independently validated our method of trapping atoms. And of course, to top it all off, we've had some amazing people join the team. In November last year, we were a team of four and we're now triple that! The momentum we, and the quantum industry at large, have seen this year makes me think that next year will be even crazier. We often say it and we mean it every time - thank you to our incredible team, our friends and our supporters who have all helped us get to where we are now. It takes a village! #Quantum #Startup #Tech
