  • As the year draws to a close, the Aleph Strategies team gathered in Paris last week to celebrate a remarkable year of growth, innovation, and collaboration - and to enjoy a delightful boat tour along the River Seine, because why not! In 2024, we had the privilege of partnering with incredible organisations like Quadrature Climate Foundation, Media Freedom Coalition hosted under Thomson Reuters Foundation, Mercy Corps, PULSE GROUP, ICCROM and Free Press Unlimited, among others, while deepening our collaborations with trusted partners such as Internews, UNESCO, Agence Française de Développement, Danish Refugee Council / Dansk Flygtningehjælp, and IUCN. Together, we’ve strengthened our expertise in media freedom, sports for development, gender and youth programming, and cultural heritage, to name just a few. This year also marked the launch of Aleph Products and Aleph Training, initiatives designed to democratise access to simple and effective monitoring, evaluation, and learning tools for development organisations worldwide. A huge thank you to all our partners and collaborators for making this year meaningful. From all of us at Aleph Strategies , we wish you happy holidays and a wonderful start to the new year! 🌍🎉 In the picture: Daniel Skillings, Asra Memon, Chiara Fall, Ivana Jiménez Barrios, Jonathan Rider. We missed our colleague, Xavier Lewis Rodriguez! #AlephStrategies #AlephWrapped #Growth #HappyNewYear

A Year of Climate Action and Environmental Impact 🌿 This year, our work on climate change and environmental issues has grown significantly, allowing us to contribute to essential global efforts to protect our planet’s future. We’ve had the privilege of collaborating with some exceptional partners, including IUCN, the The World Bank, Quadrature Climate Foundation, Agence Française de Développement, and UNESCO. Together, we've worked on projects that address biodiversity conservation, nature-based solutions, and sustainable development strategies, always striving to ensure that people, communities, and ecosystems are at the heart of every intervention. • A Year of Impact: Empowering Voices, Shaping Futures 2024 has been a transformative year for Aleph Strategies - a year defined by collaboration, innovation, and measurable impact in media development. We are proud to reflect on the meaningful progress we’ve achieved through partnerships with leading organisations, including the Media Freedom Coalition, UNESCO, BBC Media Action, Internews, Free Press Unlimited, and Radio Dabanga in Sudan. Through these partners we have worked on projects aiming to: Strengthen Independent Media: Equipping journalists and media organisations with the tools and support needed to operate effectively in challenging environments. Promote Media Literacy: Empowering individuals to critically evaluate information, fostering a more informed and engaged citizenry. Advocate for Press Freedom: Championing the fundamental rights of free expression and a diverse, thriving media landscape. Through these efforts, we have worked with our clients to amplify independent voices, combat disinformation, and nurture resilient societies built on trust and knowledge. As we prepare for the opportunities and challenges ahead, we remain steadfast in our mission: to shape a future where access to accurate, credible information is not a privilege but a right for all. #Mediafreedom #mediadevelopment #freedomofspeech

  • As 2024 begins to draw to a close, we take a moment to look back on what has been an incredibly exciting and rewarding year at Aleph Strategies Our cultural heritage project portfolio has grown significantly, and we’ve been extremely fortunate to work alongside some brilliant people. So here’s a ’shout out’ to the folks at UNESCO, the British Council, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Agence Française de Développement. These projects have taken us to Japan, Korea, Iraq, Georgia, Italy, France, Afghanistan, Mali, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, and soon…Iceland! Culture has a profound impact on people’s lives, but it’s not the easiest sell to donors. It’s often a secondary or tertiary consideration, particularly in fragile and conflict affected countries. We’ve measured the impacts of these programmes, trained artists and creatives, conducted formative research - and through all of this, we’ve seen what a difference it can make. As we look ahead to 2025, we're excited to continue our work wherever it may take us. Join us in shaping a future where culture is at the heart of sustainable development. Share your thoughts and experiences below! #alephstrategies #heritageconservation #cultureSDG #culturalheritage #UNESCO #BritishCouncil #heritageforpeace #SDC #AFD

#PatrimoineCulturel #NotreDame #Paris #Résilience #DéveloppementDurable #AlephStrategies Image: Christophe Petit Tesson/AFP via Getty Images
