I’m still thinking about this brilliant event. And applying a lot of the really insightful learning to the work we’re doing. Rory Stewart was, of course, scintillating, but Jennifer Shaw-Sweet kind of stole the show for me, with her references to Diderot and the Flaming Tortoises (great name for a band, must note that down). It’s good to run at technology and harness what it can do, but we must be human curators of taste and question when tortoise tail might be wagging the dog. Looking forward to the next Jagged Edge AI event.
Much of the conversation around AI continues to flip-flop between aspirational and theory, whereas AI has been a key driver for Anything is Possible since Sam and Mark founded the agency six years ago. I had the great pleasure of hosting the recent launch event for our new AI-first innovation division: Jagged Edge AI. Our speakers included: Sam Fenton-Elstone, our CEO and Founder, sharing Jagged Edge’s ambition to help businesses take the leap with AI to unlock growth, productivity and innovation. Alexander Calder, our Chief Consultant, showed how businesses can get ahead of the jagged edge of AI adoption with practical tools and processes. LinkedIn's Jennifer Shaw-Sweet, presenting three provocations (flaming tortoises!) on AI’s impact on business and marketing using data from The B2B Institute. And our keynote speaker, Rory Stewart OBE, who took a macro view of the broader political and technological context in which our decisions need to be made. Naturally, I wasn’t going to let this pass without a photo op 📸 If that's got you wanting to take the leap into AI and actually get practical advice and inspiration, you're in luck. Next week, we’re hosting an insight-packed webinar filled with real-world examples and actionable insights, to kick-start your 2025 (see comments for the event link).

New blog: Is Digital Media Making Us Bored? Boredom is on the rise - and digital media might be to blame. Research from Nature highlights how excessive exposure to high-excitation, low-effort digital content may leave us feeling less engaged and more distracted. As attention spans shrink, so does the effectiveness of traditional advertising metrics like CPM (cost per thousand impressions). So what's the fix? Measuring attention instead. At Anything is Possible, we’re shifting the conversation with aipX³a—our framework that factors attention as a key variable in media planning. By comparing the cost per second of attention across channels, we’re helping brands make smarter, audience-focused choices. Prioritising attention means: ➜ Choosing media that truly connects with audiences ➜ Designing campaigns that provoke curiosity and focus ➜ Moving beyond noise to create lasting impact. For the full story, check out our new blog from strategy supremo Tom Stanton [Link in comment.] #DigitalMedia #AttentionEconomy #MediaPlanning #Innovation

The legendary Ad Contrarian Bob Hoffman spitting fire here 🔥 Remember, the agency model is broken but NOT all agencies are the same. Say NO to agencies who: - Are not fully transparent about the gross cost of media - Optimise for impressions over Attention - Fail to report on your TOTAL Return on Marketing Investment. #advertising #adagency #transparency
Why is it that the people who cheerfully accept the sleaze, corruption and incompetence in the ad industry are called ‘positive’ and the people who decry it are called ‘negative?’ Asking for a friend. https://lnkd.in/gD2wBhu4
WHAT ARE THEY HIDING?
