This is month 3… last 2 months could be read by checking my past posts. 🌸 Celebrating Women & Leadership • Partnered with Ola Energy Cameroon to host an exclusive Women in Leadership Summit for International Women’s Day. Organized the Corporate Women In Leadership Residential: • Featured 15 powerful speakers. • Welcomed more than 200 inspiring attendees. Coordinated media interviews with journalists for kate kanyi fotso, CEO of Telcar Cocoa following her keynote address at the American Chamber of Commerce Cameroon Women Network Dinner. Worked with Ecobank Cameroon to launch the opening of the #Ellevate branch, Cameroon’s first bank dedicated to supporting women in business, followed by Fireside chat sponsored by Ellevate and hosted by Ecobank’s CEO Gwendoline A.. Her guidance on this night helped reshape my approach to leadership and impacted the growth of FabAfriq Media Group as seen this November’ Kickstarted cohort 9 of my mentorship program for 10 new mentees, designed to foster dynamic growth for both mentors and mentees. My Creative Excellence was brought to play when I collaborated with a talented team to conceptualise and shoot the stunning FabAfriq Magazine cover that took the internet and shelves by storm. Age 10: Came to London from Ghana. Age 14: Started first business. Made £500. Age 16: Fired from first job after 3 days because I outsourced it. Age 17: Built second business. Sold for £110k. Age 18: Lost most of it trying to trade because I got arrogant. Age 19: Started 3rd biz. Raised money. Failed. Age 20: Started 4th biz. Failed. Age 21: Started Fanbytes. Got to £400k first year. Age 22: Pitched 30 investors. All said no because "idea is a fad". We keep grinding. Age 24: Signed The UK Government as a client. Age 25: Covid. Clients started pulling budgets. Monthly revenue got crushed. Age 26: Raised money from investors. Team gets to 80 people. Age 27: Sold Fanbytes in a multi 8 figure exit. Everyone you know who has achieved anything of significance has been on a rollercoaster of failure and setbacks. But for someone who is able to wrestle with failure, dance with it and shrug it off, the rewards are abundant. That someone is you. You are THAT someone. Enjoy the ride.
