A few things to check to keep your home safe this festive season... ✨ Check your fairy lights! Inspect for frayed wires or damaged plugs before plugging them in. Never overload sockets, and always turn them off when you’re not around. 🎄 Keep your Christmas tree hydrated if it’s real - dry trees can catch fire easily. 🕯️ Place candles away from flammable decorations and out of children’s reach. A few precautions can go a long way toward a safe and happy Christmas! #firesafety #firstaidforall #firstaidtraining #firstaidcourses

Have you got yours on? It's Christmas Jumper Day and we're wearing all the tinsel, pom-poms and twinkly lights at ABC HQ🎄 As well as being a bit of fun, today is also about raising money for Save the Children, so if you can, please donate and create lasting change for children around the world. Let’s get this Christmas Jumper Day party started! #savethechildren #christmasjumperday #christmasjumperday2024

Don't let strained finances at Christmas impact your mental health 🎁 Financial stress can overshadow what is meant to be a cheerful season. But take a step back and remember what Christmas is really about and manage the season without breaking the bank - or your peace of mind. 🎄Set a budget and stick to it. Thoughtful gestures often mean more than expensive gifts. 🎄Talk openly with loved ones about expectations. You might find they are feeling the same pressures. 🎄Prioritise self-care. A walk, a book, or just a moment to breathe. If you’re feeling the strain of Christmas expenses this year, know that you’re not alone. Make this season about kindness - to others and yourself ❤️ #firstaidtrainingforall #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthtraining #mentalhealthcourse

Winter is coming… and so might the winter blues! ❄️ Darker days can mean more than just chilly weather - it can also mean a dip in mood, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Boost your mental wellbeing this winter - 🌤️ Soak up natural light: try to spend time outside during the day or sit near windows. 🏃♂️ Exercise regularly: movement boosts serotonin, your brain’s feel-good chemical. ☕ Stay social: connect with friends and family, even if virtually - it can help lift your spirits. Whether it’s a mild case of winter blues or something more, including these things in the colder months can make us all feel a bit brighter 🌞 #SeasonalAffectiveDisorder #WinterBlues #MentalHealth #LightTherapy #MentalHealthTraining
