Have you ever noticed how love makes you feel warm all over, or how fear causes your heart to race? Emotions are not just in our minds—they’re deeply connected to our bodies. A fascinating study from researchers in Finland asked more than 700 people to map where they feel emotions in their bodies, and the results were consistent across cultures! They found that: - Love and happiness spark warmth throughout the body. - Fear creates intense sensations in the chest. - Depression leaves us feeling disconnected, deactivating areas in the arms, legs, and head. Understanding how our emotions manifest physically can play a crucial role in therapy. It helps us recognize, name, and manage feelings more effectively. This knowledge can also aid in diagnosing and treating mood disorders by observing how emotions impact our physical selves. As mental health professionals, we can use this mind-body connection to better support our clients. #MentalHealth #MindBodyConnection #Therapy #EmotionalHealth #MentalWellness #MappingEmotions #Wellbeing #emotions #depression #anger #fear #disgust #sadness #happiness #surprise #anxiety

I posted this four years ago on Facebook. I remember going through a season in life where I had a lot on my mind but never felt comfortable discussing it with anyone. Suppressing feelings can lead to increased stress, and anxiety, impact your relationships, and is debilitating to your soul! It's important to acknowledge and address your emotions in a healthy way to maintain good mental health. But you may not always have someone to talk to. This is why the AO Inner Voice and AO MindSinc modules are so important to incorporate into your daily morning and evening self-care routine. The AO Inner Voice gives you customized frequency tones (pulse or classic) to offset the negative frequencies of past traumas and challenges. AO MindSinc records you saying affirmations. When you play the recording, it’s powerful and healing to hear yourself say positive affirmations to yourself. Once again, setting aside a few minutes, of your morning and evening, to listen to your AO Inner Voice tones and AO MindSinc affirmations is vital for mental health and well-being. 💫 #frequencyhealing #holisticwellness #holisticlifestyle #energyhealing #frequency #naturopathy #soundhealing #temnaqla #quantumhealing #AOScan #solex

Ever feel like your struggles are yours to carry alone? 😔 So many of us bottle up our feelings, convinced that if we share, it won’t change anything—or worse, that no one will understand. But holding onto everything just makes it feel heavier, more overwhelming, and harder to see a way out. For years, I wanted to build a not-for-profit arm of STILL to support children and adults for free, but all I saw were the problems. Every time I’d get stuck, it felt impossible to move forward. 😟 But last night, I did something simple. I sat down with five members of the team, shared every challenge, and suddenly, solutions started flowing. 💡 What felt like an impossible task suddenly seemed achievable in just one conversation. This reminded me how powerful it is to share your challenges—and how often the answers are just a conversation away. 🙌 In mental health, sharing can make all the difference. Whether it’s anxiety, stress, or feeling overwhelmed with life, don’t carry it alone. 🫂 Sometimes the best solutions come when you let someone in. Exciting times ahead—stay tuned! 👀 #mentalhealth #anxiety #thestillmethod

As we enter December, it’s important to recognize that this month is also Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) Awareness Month. While the holidays bring joy for many, shorter days and less sunlight can trigger feelings of depression for others. SAD affects millions, often making the winter months difficult to navigate. Let’s use this time to spread awareness, offer support, and encourage those who may be struggling to seek help. Here are some ways to help: Encourage Professional Help: Suggest speaking with a mental health professional if someone is experiencing severe symptoms. Promote Light Therapy: Discuss the benefits of light therapy, which can help alleviate symptoms of SAD by mimicking sunlight exposure. Engage in Outdoor Activities: Encourage spending time outdoors during daylight hours, even when it’s cold. Natural light can help improve mood. Stay Connected: Regular social interactions can combat feelings of isolation. Encourage virtual or in-person gatherings. Share Coping Strategies: Offer suggestions such as exercise, maintaining a routine, and practicing mindfulness or meditation. Educate Yourself and Others: Providing information about SAD can help reduce stigma and encourage individuals to seek help. Remember, a kind word, a check-in, or simply listening can make a difference. Let’s prioritize mental well-being this season. 🌟 #SADAwareness #MentalHealthMatters #SeasonalAffectiveDisorder #Support
