We’re pleased to showcase this demo unit integrating TROX Fire Dampers which we recently designed and constructed for the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) at their new HQ and Training Academy 📚🎓 in Coventry, which will be used to help ensure that future installers are competently trained, experienced and knowledgeable to recognise and conduct safe and legal installations of fire dampers 🔥⛔ in approved types of supporting wall construction. 🧱 The demo unit was designed in-house by our expert design team and assembled in our Thetford factory 🏭, with support from our highly skilled laboratory R&D team 🥼📋💨🔊. As a member of the ASFP, TROX were delighted to have the further collaboration of fellow ASFP member ABBEY THERMAL INSULATION LIMITED to complete this project, kindly assisting with the fire-batt and mortar installation to a professional standard. On the fire damper product labels, and adjacent to the product themselves there are rating plates, equipped with both product descriptors and QR codes which link to the relevant product webpages containing all the supporting technical data sheets, Declaration of Performance (DoP) and Installation and Operating manuals (IOM’s). TROX has over 400 certified installations across our range of Fire Dampers which all achieve Integrity (E), Insulation (I) and reduced leakage (S) essential characteristics. All TROX Fire Dampers conform to the harmonised product standard (BS EN 15650) and have been tested to 1366-2 / 15882-2 and classified to 13501-3. TROX Fire Dampers have been tested and certified in almost every imaginable type of supporting construction (solid walls & floors, lightweight partition walls - metal & wooden stud, solid wood / CLT walls and floors, sandwich panel walls, ribbed concrete and hollow deck and asymmetric shaft walls) to ensure absolute peace of mind, where in an eventuality they are ever required, that our products can be relied upon to operate effectively 💪🏆.
