Happy 50th anniversary to Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers! We recently raised a glass to celebrate half a century of service excellence at the Golden Jubilee Anniversary Evening Cocktail. As our first hotel in Greater China, the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers laid an important foundation to build the brand’s awareness across the region. We have served millions of guests and set the standards for what to expect from an international premium hotel. Apart from the accomplishments the hotel has achieved, I would like to underscore that over 23% of the hotel associates have had a career spanning over two decades. I wholeheartedly applaud their commitment and dedication, which characterize our culture. This year has been special with the opening of the 100th Sheraton hotel in Greater China– Marriott’s first international market to reach this milestone. When I first joined Marriott 26 years ago, we only had seven hotels under six brands in Greater China, including the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers. It has been exciting to see how we have since expanded our portfolio to over 560 hotels spanning 24 brands across 140 destinations, and I am confident that our growth momentum will continue.
