What is the key to effective #IR practices in today’s dynamic market landscape? Link's Director of Investor Relations Christy Lam recently addressed over 300 IR and investment professionals on this topic during a panel discussion at the Hong Kong Investor Relations Association (HKIRA) Annual Symposium 2024. She emphasised Link's strategic IR approach, which focuses on open and transparent communication, agility in addressing stakeholder concerns to foster trust and confidence, and consistency in messaging and actions. This approach remains steadfast even amid economic uncertainty and market volatility.

We are pleased to celebrate that our commitment to #sustainability and climate resilience was projected on the iconic Nasdaq MarketSite at Times Square in New York City. Link has received the Award of Excellence in ESG at the Hong Kong Corporate Governance and ESG Excellence Awards 2024, presented by The Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies and HKBU School of Business. At the award ceremony, Ronald Tham, Link’s Chief Corporate Development Officer, emphasised our dedication to enhancing environmental sustainability and promoting sustainable practices within communities through our properties.

Link Group CEO George Hongchoy, who is also Honorary Founding President & Chairman of HKREITA, attended the launch event today for the market report jointly released by HKREITA and Deloitte China about the vision for the Hong Kong REIT market today.   Hongchoy said that to address current structural limitations and attract more market entrants, HKREITA advocates for the introduction of corporate structures for H-REITs that maintain asset protection through independent custodians. Also, relaxing the two-year property holding rule would allow H-REITs to respond quickly to market changes and optimise portfolio management without sacrificing long-term stability.

Meet Karin Yuen, #Link's first in-house legal trainee. This year, Link launched a first-of-its-kind in-house trainee solicitor programme in the #realestate sector. We aim to nurture and develop the next generation of talent in asset management and real estate, who are not only proficient in law, but also possess the business acumen and communication skills essential in the commercial world. Karin will rotate through various functions under Chief Legal Officer Kenneth Wong, gaining a unique opportunity to learn on the job with seasoned lawyers from different practice groups. Lok Fu Place, #Link’s flagship mall in #HongKong, has received the Silver Award in Property Management (Commercial & Industrial) at the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence. This accolade, organised by the Environmental Campaign Committee and Hong Kong's Environment and Ecology Bureau, highlights our achievements in waste management and energy conservation. Link has installed 212 PV panels in the mall, generating 268,000 kwh since Oct 2020. Our collaboration with NGOs, retail tenants, and government departments also resulted in a 1.2% year-on-year increase in surplus food collection and a 189.8% increase in organic food waste collection in 2023.   The award also recognises our innovative community engagement through Link Sustainability Lab, which is the city’s first #sustainability education and collaboration platform, aiming to promote sustainability and inspire behavioural changes within the community.
