🎤 I’ll be speaking at WordCamp Romania 2024 in Brașov! 🎉 💙 WordPress and My Journey 💙 The WordPress community has been with me since 2013, and I can honestly say it helped me get to where I am today. I’ve grown with passionate people, learning and evolving together. 🙌 In 2019, I was accepted as a speaker at WordCamp Bucharest, but the event was canceled due to the pandemic. Still, I kept my wish to speak at a WordCamp in Romania, and now it’s finally happening! I’ll be speaking at WordCamp Romania 2024 in Brașov! 🎉 I’ve been a volunteer, organizer, and speaker at WordCamp Europe several times, but WordCamp Romania has a special energy that feels like home. It’s where I reconnect with people I’ve built great relationships with over the years, and I’m excited to share my experiences with you all. ❤️ I want to thank Robert Hapiuc, Theo Platica, and all the volunteers and organizers for bringing back this special event. Before the release of Block themes, #WordPress had one single theme type. Now we can define at least 4 categories. Most websites still use classic themes and I don't think that's going to change anytime soon. But slowly, #blockthemes are getting more adopted by new websites as new features get released. I've created a quick video that explains the main differences between the current theme types:

WordPress is dead ☠️ The latest CMS market-share numbers show what we knew all along: That nothing has changed, proprietary vendors and "influencers" continue to predict that WordPress is obsolete and/or outdated. This, despite market share remaining largely untouched. Open-source can calmly emerge from recessionary periods, whilst proprietary vendors are now slowing down innovation/increasing license costs. I can probably repost this exact text again in 10 years, do you agree?
