We Lit Up the Tree of Wishes 2024! 🎄🎁   This year, the SkyToll team once again proved that together, we can achieve great things – and that our employees truly have hearts in the right place ❤️   In collaboration with our neighbors from the #WestendBratislava administrative complex – the employees of Siemens and Generali Slovakia – we brought joy to children’s hearts and made Christmas brighter for those in crisis centers. Through our traditional charitable initiative, the Tree of Wishes, we fulfilled dozens of wishes for children in need. Our #GNSS toll system, that we implemented in the Czech Republic, is celebrating its 5th anniversary! From signing the contract to system launch, only 14 months passed. The project in the Czech Republic became the world’s first generational upgrade of a toll collection system, replacing microwave technology with a modern satellite-based solution. It was completed without any complications or interruptions in toll collection! On highways, the system has maintained a long-term toll collection efficiency of 99.92% and handles smoothly 33,000 vehicles per hour in average during peak times. Thanks to the parameters set by the Czech Ministry of Transport (Ministerstvo dopravy ČR) and the Road and Motorway Directorate of the Czech Republic (Ředitelství silnic a dálnic s. p.), this tolling system ranks among the most efficient of its kind globally. Operating costs have consistently remained at just 7% of collected toll revenues. Since December 1, 2019, the system has collected more than 72 billion CZK (over 3 billion EUR) in tolls💰 While CzechToll and TollNet were our business partners during the system's development, today we are proud to be part of one "family" within the global ITIS Holding group. NEXT BIG THING: Building a Electronic Toll System in Croatia! 🚀 Today, SkyToll signed a contract in Zagreb to develop a new Electronic Toll System across Croatian highways. This innovative project will significantly enhance road safety and traffic flow by leveraging advanced technologies, ensuring smoother journeys for both personal and commercial vehicles. In partnership with TollNet, our sister company under ITIS Holding, our proposal was selected from 10 competitors as the most advantageous. The new tolling system will cover all highways managed by Hrvatske autoceste d.o.o. / Croatian Motorways Ltd, Bina-Istra Group, and Autocesta Zagreb – Macelj, and is set to be fully operational within 24 months. Our solution will allow seamless travel without stopping at toll booths. Using Automatic Licence Plate Recognition (#ALPR) and #DSRC communication technology, we will ensure efficient toll collection, complying with EETS standards while providing flexibility for future expansions.
