Every young person in Aotearoa has innate worth and mana, but many experience distress and disconnection. Zeal provides safe, welcoming local and online spaces for young people to belong, learn skills, and overcome the tough stuff. Surrounded by a team of youth workers who walk alongside young people with realness, compassion, and aroha – no matter what. Zeal is like a whānau, where young people are seen, heard, valued and accepted, and have a real shot to thrive on their terms.

Massive mihi to one of our day one's, Stuart Hansen from Moore Markhams New Zealand, who for two years now has been consistently turning e-waste into equity by giving laptops to our refurbishment programme. Whole classrooms full of young people now have the keys to the digital world and the skills to navigate it thanks to your consistent support. One of our big challenges turning e-waste into equity is getting enough adapters. We’ve given over 500 laptops to graduates of our laptop refurbishing programme but only about half have come with adapters. We want to spend every cent of our funding on creating change in our community so it’s amazing when businesses like Greenbox Group Pty Ltd gift adapters in bulk! Meet Luca! Luca first came to Zeal when her K-pop group hired the Zeal Hamilton space for rehearsals. Despite her initial shyness and reserve, Luca found the courage to start coming along to our afternoon hangs programme.
