🎄💛 It’s a wonderful time of the year to share some festive cheer, and we’re backing our people to volunteer for causes close to their hearts. With our flexible Volunteer Hours employee benefit, our ASB whānau can make a positive impact this Christmas season and beyond. Whether it’s supporting charity drives or school events, our people can choose how they use 12 hours of paid volunteer leave each year. While volunteering is about giving back, it’s also an opportunity for personal and professional growth, team building, and strengthening community ties. Our Volunteer Hours benefit is just one of the ways we help our people #StepForward.

💛 “There are a lot of strengths that come with it.” For International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we spoke with our Chief Technology Officer David Wills, MIL about life with a hidden disability and his advice to his younger self. We’re officially a Sunflower-friendly organisation, thanks to the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower - Australia & New Zealand programme. For us this means: 🌻 97% of our frontline teams are now trained to recognise a Sunflower lanyard or pin, and provide the extra support for both customers and their colleagues. 🌻 We’re working with our Neurodiversity Network Group to continue raising awareness of more than 900 hidden disabilities, and to create safe spaces for our people to connect and celebrate their unique experiences.

✔️✔️ The way you make and receive payments is changing with the new Confirmation of Payee check. When setting up a payment to a new payee, you’ll need to include the account number and the full first and last name of the account owner, or the business account name, if it's a business. Once the check is complete, and before you make the payment, you’ll see if the account owner name and number are a match or not. Find out more at asb.co.nz/COP
