Empowering Africa's Next Digital Innovators! We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our TechStart Program in partnership with Amazon! This initiative aligns with our purpose of connecting for a better future, as we aim to inspire the next wave of digital innovators across the continent. Through collaborations with AWS, Microsoft, Skillsoft, and other organizations, the Vodacom Group Digital Skills Hub provides young Tanzanians (ages 18–35) access to self-paced, online digital skills training. Together, we are committed to: ✅ Bridging the digital skills gap across Tanzania ✅ Upskilling 1 million youth over the next 3 years With AWS Educate as our first offering, learners can explore topics ranging from cloud fundamentals to AI and machine learning—empowering them for the digital age. Aligned with our mission to bridge the rural connectivity gap, a few months ago we launched the Itumbi Network Site in Mbeya region. This launch not only strengthened our network reach but also fueled the remarkable rise in customer numbers, data usage, and M-Pesa adoption in the region. Through the M-Pesa Kitaani initiative, teams from Vodacom HQ & visiting Safaricom colleagues descended to Mbeya where we celebrated with the community, refurbished a classroom, and donated 10 desks to Itumbi Primary School. Recognizing a greater need and aligned with a staff fundraising campaign orchestrated by the Vodacom Tanzania Foundation during the Vodacom Twende Butiama Cycling Tour 2024, the South Region team further raised funds to deliver 110 desks, now handed over to Chunya District leadership—helping create brighter futures for the students of Itumbi ✨📚 Together, we’re empowering communities, one milestone at a time. #PamojaTunaweza 💪🏾

Much like the journey up Kilimanjaro, through the lush rainforest zone, the stark alpine desert and moorland zone, and the icy arctic zone; Vodacom Tanzania has weathered all conditions to stay connected with the people we serve. These shifting landscapes mirror the challenges we have faced and the adaptability required to innovate and lead in a dynamic environment. As we march towards 25 years of operations, Vodacom Tanzania has embodied this spirit by climbing its own mountain of success. This past Sunday marked the final day of the Vodacom Tanzania Open 2024, concluding an exhilarating four-day tournament! The final round was a spectacle of skill and determination as 22 professional golfers who made the cut battled fiercely for top honors. Congratulations to the winners: Greg Snow, Celestin Nsanzuwera, Daniel Nduva, and Isaac Wanyeche for their outstanding performances!
