✨ AI is the trending topic today. When planning for the event we knew that we needed someone who knows more than the recent news. We needed an expert with an extensive knowledge in both AI and healthcare technology. 👋 Say hello to our second day keynote speaker: Leo Kärkkäinen, Professor of Embedded Systems at University of Eastern Finland. Professor Leo Kärkkäinen has a long and diverse career, spanning research in theoretical physics, industrial research, and artificial intelligence. 🔊 His industy experience includes 25 years at Nokia, working in acoustics, nanotechnology, AI and medical applications as the leader of Predictive Health Analytics team. And at Nokia Bell Labs, using #AI for #5G optimization. He has also contributed to ethical guidelines for AI in the European Commission's High-Level Expert Group. Recently he has worked with companies like Huawei and Silo AI. Now a professor at the University of Eastern Finland, his research continues to address the ethical, technical, and practical challenges of AI in society. Kärkkäinen emphasizes that intelligent elements will increasingly shape the future. “Nowadays, intelligence is introduced everywhere with the help of embedded systems. Examples include cars and medical systems – for instance, a blood pressure monitor is no longer a purely mechanical device. Using it as a purely mechanical device requires professional skills, but nowadays, as an embedded system, it is easy to use. However, ease of use is not to be taken for granted.” Don't miss your opportunity to learn and connect with Leo Kärkkäinen and other leaders in health innovation at Aalto University 15th-16th of Oct.
