The Aalto Digital Creatives program concluded its sixth and final semester with the Aalto Creative Demo Day on Marsio Stage. The event featured startup ideas developed by participants in the program's pre-incubator. Moving forward, the program will continue as the Aalto Creatives pre-incubator in 2025 and will be accepting applications from all sectors of the creative industries Read the news article at https://lnkd.in/dnGtC3pt to catch up with the highlights! A huge thank you to all the pre-incubator participants who took the stage at Aalto Creative Demo Day! We saw eight inspiring and super polished pitches on Marsio Stage: Olga Tereshkova, Jun Y., Veronika Marsland, Noora Yau, Titus Pünder, Nina Sirén, Julio Orduña Sánchez and Zachary Burda! And not to forget those in the audience who were there to show their support – thank you! The jury of creative industry experts gave the participants very encouraging feedback as well as challenging questions. Thank you Helene Auramo, Heikki Laaninen, Marja-Liisa Niinikoski and Vesa Raudasoja for being part of this event! We would also like to thank our presenter, artist and systemic team coach Katriina Haikala for creating a wonderful atmosphere at Marsio Stage. But the list of thank yous doesn't end there! 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗔: 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗟𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 🎓 This zone includes entrepreneurship programs and resources managed by Aalto University. Key initiatives include: • Aalto Startup Center: An experienced hybrid accelerator offering mentoring and networking. Successful startups like Rovio and Duunitori have emerged from here. • A Grid: A hub for startups, currently housing over 160 companies and agencies. • Other key teams include Research to Business, ESA BIC Finland, Seeds of Bravery, Urban Tech Helsinki, Aalto Digital Creatives, D2XCEL, @Business Generator, @EIT Services at Aalto University, Aalto Design Factory, Aalto Ventures Program, and the Entrepreneurship Unit at Aalto School of Business (ENTU). 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗕: 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗟𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 👩🎓 (independent entities that are not owned by Aalto University) This zone focuses on projects/communities/organisations led by students from Aalto or other institutions. Some core entities are: • Startup Sauna: A well-known co-working space for student entrepreneurs, home to many entities. • Aalto Entrepreneurship Society (Aaltoes): The student entrepreneurship society dedicated to supporting future founders in Finland by organizing events, projects, workshops, etc. •Other important teams include: Slush, MIMIR, AaltoAI, Junction, Kiuas, Dash, SILTA, Ignite, Strive for Startups, and wednesday. 💬 𝗤𝟮: 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲? What I truly appreciate about this ecosystem is its inclusivity. It welcomes not only Aalto students but ANYONE with a founder’s mindset who wants to engage in entrepreneurial activities. So it serves you, me and anyone who wants and choose to be there. 💡 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 / rule: While I’ve shared a metro map-style overview, remember that you can navigate the entities based on your interests and goals.
