At the Institute of ICT Professionals, Ghana (IIPGH), we are committed to extending our impact beyond regular coding classes. Our community outreach programs (The Coding Caravan) bring practical coding experiences to children in diverse communities, offering a full day of hands-on learning that fosters creativity and problem-solving skills. These initiatives are part of our #CorporateSocialResponsibility efforts, and they allow us to engage directly with young learners from various schools. Here’s a glimpse into the impactful work we did with IT Consortium. Excited to be a part of Technology Week 2024 at the Department of Computer Engineering, KNUST! This year's event, themed "From the Breadboard to the Boardroom," was a fantastic opportunity to bridge academic learning with real-world industry insights. Alongside my teammate Emmanuel Agbosu, I had the privilege of showcasing our final year project, a NAS (Network-Attached Storage) system we developed under the guidance of Dr. Theresa-Samuelle Adjaidoo. Our NAS project is designed to address the growing need for secure, scalable, and efficient data storage solutions. Its user-friendly interface and robust architecture empower users to manage and access their data seamlessly, ensuring reliable backups and enhanced data security. 💾 Presenting this project to attendees and industry representatives from leading companies like Telecel Ghana, inngen, and IT Consortium was a rewarding experience. The positive feedback and interest from these experts were incredibly encouraging. Thank you to Dr. Theresa-Samuelle Adjaidoo for her unwavering support and to the organizing team for making Technology Week 2024 a success. I am looking forward to how our NAS system and other innovative projects can contribute to the future of technology and smart living! 🌍💡

⭐Exciting news! ⭐ I'm excited to share that my team (Cerebrum) - Alour Bright, Benjamin Abotsi, and me - emerged second at the KNUST Technology Week hackathon organised by the Department of Computer Engineering-KNUST! The challenge? To build a document understanding model that could extract key features from different documents and document formats and was robust to noise. The model should be able to structure the extracted data for further analysis. 💡 Out of 11 highly competitive teams which comprised over 50 students cumulatively, we secured second place after 48 hours of intense brainstorming, rapid prototyping, and testing. This emphasized the need for hard work, effective collaboration and diverse skill sets for every successful project. 💪 We're deeply grateful for the expert guidance and support from the facilitators at Trestle Academy Ghana and inngen, who helped us navigate the challenges and pressures of the competition. Their mentorship was invaluable, and we appreciate their contribution to our success. This was a true learning experience for me. We're really proud of what we achieved under such tight deadlines and we look forward to what the future holds for us. Go team Cerebrum!🚀 🏷️ Kofi Adom, Telecel Ghana, IT Consortium, Nalo Solutions Limited Responsible AI Lab, Ghana Digital Centres Limited, Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, Association of Computer Engineering Students - ACES KNUST #KNUST #Tweek #Hackathon
