GAYO Eco-Club Campus Chapters (GECCC)

GAYO Eco-Club Campus Chapters (GECCC) is a non-profit group, originally founded by Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO) in 2020 to engage youth on environmental sustainability issues through community action and awareness creation. We are dedicated to reaching out and providing solutions to environmental issues through youth empowerment and public education. Our goal is to empower and educate young people about environmental sustainability and engage them in community action to address environmental issues through the activities of GAYO Eco-Club Campus Chapters (GECCC). Over the years, our work has been in diverse fields including climate change, disaster risk reduction, circular economy, capacity building, plastic-free & and zero-waste campuses and advocacy. GECCC has partnered with numerous local and international organizations to lead, empower and mobilize young people to lead the movement towards sustainable development in diverse fields within our thematic areas of operations. Mission: To reach out and provide solutions to environmental issues through youth empowerment and public education. Vision: Having the biggest impact-based eco-clubs hitherto to raise young ecopreneurs and climate leaders, create awareness on environmental protection, increase the employability of youth through professional working experiences and promote valuable experience for students.
