Our co-founder, Suzy Chisholm, gave a short talk about "anchoring". Not exciting you say? We believe differently and maybe through this Pecha Kucha style presentation, we can change your mind. ⚓ It is time to take a fresh look at anchoring!
It is the end of the year and we give thanks for all of the high- (and even lowlights) which took place over that time-span. One highlight for sure was my Pecha Kucha presentation during VriThink Night Out. I mentioned it in an earlier post but here I now have the actual video. 20 slides, each shown for 20 seconds long and then it changes. You have to stay in time. You have to stay focused. The idea is to take the audience on a journey and so you can't miss any beats. During one moment I spoke too fast and I had to wait for the next slide to continue. How to fill the void? I did a spontaneous little jig and managed to get a laugh from the listeners which was obviously unintentional. Didn't make it into the video but it helped settled my nerves and the story kept its momentum. The point of this story? Stay true to yourself and you'll be ok. Oh, and never say no to an opportunity no matter how daunting. You'll learn, you'll grow and you'll get (hopefully) just a little bit better. Thanks VRIPACK DESIGN!
