🌱 Launch of the “CHITOPAN” Project 🦀 We are thrilled to announce the launch of CHITOPAN, an innovative project aiming to revolutionize wound care by developing eco-friendly wound dressings made from chitosan and plant extracts. 🧑🧒🧒 About the CHITOPAN Consortium The CHITOPAN project brings together a multidisciplinary consortium of experts and organizations committed to sustainable and innovative biotechnology: • LPAM (Laboratory of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants): Specializes in extracting bioactive compounds from plants, focusing on their medicinal and healing properties. • LPCMMA (Physical Chemistry Laboratory of Mineral Materials and Their Applications): Experts in nanofiber production, providing innovative material solutions. The project is supported by the Directorate General for Research Valorization (DGVR) through the “Collabora-Technologie Program,” which fosters collaborative research between academia and industry. With funding from #DGVR and co-financing by Chitelix, CHITOPAN combines cutting-edge research with industrial scalability. 💡 About the Project #CHITOPAN focuses on creating active wound dressings by integrating: • Green and sustainable production of #chitosan from upcycled seafood byproducts. • Nanofiber technology to enhance wound healing properties. • Medicinal and aromatic plant extracts with proven healing and #antimicrobial effects. This innovative combination results in eco-friendly, high-performance #wound #care solutions that contribute to the growing demand for sustainable healthcare products.
