The final issue of the International Social Security Review in 2024 is a special issue addressing the topic of #Gender and #socialsecurity. A key aim is to discern how gender bias and discrimination can be addressed not only in social security programmes but also within the operational and human resource management practices of their administering bodies. News article: https://lnkd.in/ereaT5DQ In his foreword, the ISSA Secretary General Marcelo Caetano highlights that the special issue examines how gender-responsive systems and programmes can prevent gender inequalities, transform social norms, and promote gender equality in national social security systems. The editorial by Roddy McKinnon stresses that a key aim is to discern how gender bias and discrimination can be addressed in order to support the realization of the fundamental human right to social security.
