Celebrating the Success of the Sydney Trains NIF Project 🚉 We’re thrilled to announce that the New Intercity Fleet (NIF) trains in Sydney successfully entered passenger service on December 3, 2024! This milestone marks the culmination of years of collaboration, innovation, and dedication across teams and continents. Starting in 2017, HaslerRail supplied 262 TELOC 3000 units to our customer, Mitsubishi Electric Australia (MELCO), with Hyundai Rotem as the car builder. Our cutting-edge event recorders have been key in ensuring safety and reliability for this fleet. The journey wasn’t without challenges, including a long delivery schedule and software modifications based on customer requirements. However, our global teamwork—including transitions from our System Engineering team to Customer Service and our colleagues in China—ensured the project's success. We’re incredibly proud to see the NIF trains now serving passengers and making a difference in Australia’s rail network.
