We are excited to announce that Bank J. Safra Sarasin has been appointed as a joint lead manager for the execution of a CHF 120 million #blockchain-based bond transaction issued by the City of #Lugano. This digital native bond incorporates CHF Wholesale Central Bank Digital Currency (wCBDC) and is set to mature in 2033. The bond will be registered on SDX and traded on both the SIX Digital Exchange and the SIX Swiss Exchange. Regulation imposes continuously increasing standards. According to HSBC Global Private Banking’s Global Entrepreneurial Wealth Report 2024, #Switzerland remains one of the most attractive locations in the world for global entrepreneurs. The study looked at 1800 entrepreneurs across 10 countries. It shows that Switzerland was the top choice for ultra- and high-net-worth entrepreneurs looking to move some or all of their wealth abroad. Switzerland was also a top choice for business owners looking to relocate abroad, along with Singapore, the US, and the UK.
