5 Quick and simple Exercises to raise your Communication Game as a Founder. #1. Practice the 30-Second Pitch Rehearse frequently how to answer the mighty question: "What do you do?" Practice delivering the answer to this question with clarity and confidence. Use this in conversations, networking, or pitching—it’s your foundation for great communication. #2. Record Yourself Speaking Pick a topic and talk about it for two minutes. Record yourself (audio and video) using your phone or laptop. Watch the playback to assess your tone, clarity, and body language. Repeat until you feel natural, concise, and engaging. 3. Read Aloud Daily Choose a book, article, or script and read it out loud for 10 minutes each day. Focus on enunciation, rhythm, and pacing. This strengthens your verbal delivery and helps you become more articulate. We speak they way we reason, and we reason the way we speak - You will be surprised on how much correlation is between reading, clarity of thought and speaking. 4. Ask for Feedback After meetings or presentations, ask a trusted colleague or mentor for feedback on your communication. Were you clear? Did your message resonate? Act on constructive criticism to refine your approach. It always helps to have a second opinion on your delivery. 5. Write to Communicate Spend 10 minutes daily writing your thoughts—be it emails, posts, or a journal entry. Focus on being concise and structured. Writing clarity improves verbal clarity, too. End.
