Genoveva Umeh is a Nigerian-British Actor, who is known for starring as “Timeyin” in the Netflix Series’ Blood Sisters (2022) and “Anna” in the Amazon Studios’ film Breath Of Life (2023). In December 2023, Genoveva made her cinema debut in theatres all over Nigeria as “Testimony” in the record-breaking film A Tribe Called Judah. Genoveva’s other notable acting credits include Netflix’s first Nigerian Young Adult Series Far From Home and Showmax’s Original Drama Series Crime and Justice Lagos, both released in 2022, as well as MTV Shuga Naija Season 5, released in 2023. Genoveva won the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 2024 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards. In 2022 she landed a Best Actress AMVCA nomination for A Tune Away. Genoveva’s acting training began in the United Kingdom at St. Mary’s High School, London and then the Identity School of Acting, London. In 2018, Genoveva moved back to Lagos, Nigeria and joined a vibrant theatre community. She wrote and produced a one woman play called “Home” which debuted at Lagos Fringe Festival 2018 and at Bloemfontein University, South Africa in 2019. Genoveva received further acting training in 2021 at the Ebony Life Creative Academy, Lagos. Genoveva holds a LLB Degree from the University of Surrey, UK.
