BEDC Kicks Off the New Year with Corporate Prayers and a Renewed Commitment to Excellence. The management and staff of BEDC Electricity Plc gathered at the company’s headquarters for a prayer and strategy session to mark the beginning of the new year. The event, which saw participation from the executives, senior staff, and other team members, was an opportunity to reflect, pray, and outline plans for the year ahead. The session began with praise and worship, followed by prayers led by both Christian and Muslim representatives, symbolizing unity and inclusivity among the BEDC workforce. The Chief Technical Officer, Engr. Jonathan Lawani, gave an inspiring charge on the faithfulness of God and underscored the importance of prioritizing divine guidance in the company’s operations. “As a distribution company, we must continue to put God first in all that we do,” he stated. Mrs. Imogh, the Head of Customer Care, extended her gratitude to all staff for their commitment in the past year. She emphasized the need for swift resolution of customer complaints and encouraged employees to adopt a personal approach to customer care. “When we see customer care as personal, we’ll create memorable experiences for our customers,” she said. The Head of the Senior Staff Union, Engr. Godwin addressed the gathering, calling for greater dedication from employees to help the company surpass its milestones for the year. He expressed optimism about management’s ability to provide the necessary support for staff to excel. Mr. Collins Igwe, CRCM commended the workforce for reducing Aggregate Technical, Commercial, and Collection (AT&C) losses in the past year. He urged staff to remain dedicated and focused while keeping the BEDC brand at the forefront of their minds. “How we represent the company matters, and we, as executives, are committed to leading by example,” he assured. Speaking on behalf of the MD/CEO, the Company Secretary and Head Legal, Barr. Esanye Mayor, reflected on the company’s achievements in the past year, including an AT&C loss of 27%. He emphasized the potential for even greater success through teamwork and unity. “We should be grateful for the privilege to begin a new year and resolve to make our customers even happier in 2025,” he said.
