As we reflect on the highlights of 2024, AmCham Taiwan was honored to host The Brookings Institution for a meaningful exchange of ideas. Together, we revisited insights from our Washington, D.C. Doorknock trip and delved into critical topics such as Artificial Intelligence and combating disinformation—key issues shaping the global landscape. We are deeply grateful to Cynthia Chyn and Steven Pan, members of our Board of Governors, for hosting the Brookings delegation and fostering this important dialogue. As we step into 2025, we eagerly anticipate more opportunities to exchange insights and address the challenges that define our ever-evolving world. 🌐

Looking for the perfect drink to celebrate this festive season? Why not explore the rich flavors of American whiskey! Last week, we had the privilege of attending the very first 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐲 & 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥, hosted by our friends at Dxcel International . The event featured over 20 whiskey brands from the U.S., showcasing a diverse lineup of styles such as Rye, Wheat, Corn, Single Malt, and, of course, America’s native spirit—Bourbon. What set this festival apart was its unique outdoor fair format. Attendees got to sample whiskeys from various brands while enjoying some classic American food like smoked BBQ, hot dogs, and fried chicken. It was a perfect blend of American whiskey and culture under the open sky. A huge thank you to DXCEL for the invitation and the unforgettable experience! We’re already excited for more American whiskey festivals to come in the future. ⚠️ Reminder: Alcohol consumption is prohibited for those under 18 years old.
