European network supporting the spread of the Housing First model as an effective response to homelessness
About us
The Housing First Europe Hub is a partnership of organisations, foundations, governments & experts that supports Housing First as a core response to homelessness in Europe. Housing First is an evidence-based model designed for people who need significant levels of help to enable them to leave homelessness. Using housing as a starting point rather than an end goal, and through the provision of intensive, flexible and person-centred support, 70-90% of Housing First residents are able to remain housed. Having a place to call home also leads to improvements in health and wellbeing, and reduces ineffective contact with costly public services.

After three impactful training sessions in Berlin, Lund, and Warsaw, we are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the 2024 edition of our 'Train the Trainer' programme. This year's cohort brought together 21 dedicated participants, including frontline workers, Housing First managers and champions from across Europe. Throughout the programme, they strengthened their skills in training and advocacy for Housing First, while also creating a strongly supportive and closely connected community of practice. The 9-day programme wrapped up with participants presenting their projects, which they will soon implement back in their organisations and communities. This collaborative effort ensures that the impact extends far beyond these 21 changemakers: Equipped with new expertise, they are now ready to train and inspire hundreds of other professionals across Europe, expanding the reach of Housing First and contributing to systemic change in the fight against homelessness within their communities. A huge congratulations to all participants for their dedication, collaboration, and passion.
