📈 New data on container glass collection for recycling in Europe is now available! The EU’s glass value chain sustains a steady 80.2% glass packaging collection rate with record volume of collected glass 💪 💬 “More glass packaging was collected in 2022 than ever before, reaching a record level of 12.4 million tonnes, representing an increase of about 542 000 tonnes over the previous year. Apparently, the estimated performance of closed-loop recycling for collected glass packaging reached 85% in 2022! ♻️ Close the Glass Loop surveyed 81 glass cullet recycling facilities across 20 European countries to uncover the latest trends and challenges in glass packaging recycling.
