#2024highlights • 𝐀 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐗 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞! 🎉 As we close 2024, we’re proud to highlight some of our notable achievements, starting with two major projects completed by BESIX France this year. 🤩 🏢 In Bailly-Romainvilliers, BESIX delivered the 135,000 m² Deloitte's EMEA University Training Centre, featuring seminar rooms, a restaurant and 265 bedrooms, all surrounded by lush greenery and a 20,000 m² artificial lake. 🚆 This summer, our team completed all architectural, façade and technical works for the Saint-Denis Pleyel Station, which played a key role during the 2024 Olympic Games. It's the largest of the Grand Paris Express, serving 250,000 passengers daily. A big 👏 for our BESIX colleagues in France. #BESIXupdate • Exciting progress at One New Zealand Stadium in Christchurch 🇳🇿! ✨ Our BESIX Watpac team is building this world-class arena for Christchurch City Council. Over 60% of the roof structure has been erected, using a 600-tonne crawler crane with a super lift attachment, enabling it to handle the large lifts. 👏 The team is also assembling the oculus trusses that will support the stadium’s fully enclosed roof. #BESIXNewProject • The first phase of construction for Aerospacelab's Megafactory has taken off in Charleroi 🇧🇪! 🤩 🤝 Together with Galère, we’re proud to be building this state-of-the-art 20,000 m² facility for Aerospacelab and Sambrinvest. With an annual production capacity of up to 500 satellites, it’s set to become Europe’s largest satellite factory and the third largest in the world 🌍. 🏗️ Since project overall construction began in May 2024, works have progressed according to schedule: piling works are complete and foundation works are well underway. Superstructure structural work will start in early 2025, with the facility expected to be operational in 2026. Double #BESIXmilestone alert for Holcim Belgium's GO4ZERO project! 🤩 Last week, the BESIX-Denys teams achieved a significant milestone with the first major concrete pour for the foundation slab! Located in Obourg 🇧🇪, the GO4ZERO plant aims to produce up to 2.3 million tonnes of CO2-neutral cement annually by 2029. 🙌 And there's more! 👀 Our deep foundations specialist Franki Foundations has installed over 1,000 out of 1,500 screw piles, reaching depths of up to 32 meters! Additionally, their optimised engineering solutions have cut concrete usage by almost 50% compared to the original design. #BESIXmilestone • The TM COTU joint venture has commenced flooding the Scheldt Tunnel yard on the left riverbank in Antwerp 🇧🇪! 🤩 💦 This process will enable the replacement of the existing Scheldt dyke with a new, elevated dyke located 300 meters inland. It will in turn create a 24-hectare flood plain, improving flood protection in the area. 🏗️ Meanwhile, the remaining eight tunnel elements are being prepared for transport from the dry dock in Zeebruges. Next year, they will be towed to Antwerp one by one, where they will be submerged and connected to the riverbanks. #BESIXupdate • Belgium’s biggest data centre is coming together near Brussels 🇧🇪! 🤩 The teams of BESIX and Equans BeLux have made great progress on the Tier III data center for Kevlinx Data Centers recently. With the frames for two out of the three floors now complete, the team remains on track to finish this first phase by autumn 2025! 👏 We are in charge of the design and construction of phases 1A and 1B of an advanced, turn-key 40 MW data center, which aims at meeting the increasingly digital demands of communities.
