🌍 Last week, Stefanie Van Damme and Laura Mata García from ALICE contributed to the General Assembly of the CLEVER 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 (Creating Legitimate Emission Factors for Verified Emission Reduction). This project aims to develop 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 for the transport sector. The two-day event brought together project partners in Heidelberg, Germany, to review progress and agree on the next steps. During the event, the project partners ✔️ Finalised plans to complete the 𝗴𝗮𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 on emission factors by February 2024. ✔️ Agreed on 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 to ensure harmonisation of GHG emission factor calculations. ✔️ Discussed the scope of the project, including the fuels to be considered, system boundaries and the need for a global and multimodal perspective. A global approach is essential to reflect the realities of global supply chains and energy markets. ✔️ Set the stage for next steps in capacity building and stakeholder engagement to advance our collective goals. 💡 Discussions were productive and collaborative, bringing us closer to harmonising methodologies that will support credible and actionable GHG reductions across all transport modes. 🔗 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: https://lnkd.in/drJ9r--D 🔗 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: https://lnkd.in/dvWauVRb #LogisticsInnovation #NetZeroLogistics #TransportDecarbonisation #GHGEmissionFactors
